FUNAM is built upon years of commitment to Bolivia’s mining communities. Its founder has spent decades working closely with mining families, sharing their stories, writing about mining life and local history, and promoting awareness through tourism and community engagement.

Through years of work in tourism and close contact with international visitors, we began to ask an important question:
Can tourism become part of something bigger? Can a journey through Uyuni and Bolivia also become a bridge for education and opportunity?
