COOPERATIVE SILVER MINES OF CERRO RICO

Understanding the reality, history, and life inside the silver mountain of Potosí, Bolivia.

Behind Bolivia’s mineral wealth are families who have often remained unseen.

A STORY BORN FROM BOLIVIA’S MINING COMMUNITIES

For decades, many mining families have faced difficult realities: hard work, limited opportunities, and uncertainty about the future of their children.

FUNAM was created from lived experience within Bolivia’s mining communities, where generations of families have worked under difficult conditions with limited access to educational opportunities.

The foundation is inspired by the reality of mining families, especially children who grow up surrounded by economic hardship but rich in human potential.

We know talent exists everywhere. What is often missing is opportunity, guidance, and access.
